Instructor - Applet Lee
I grew up in Taiwan, and I used to be a smartphone product manager, semiconductor sales engineer, educational software designer, art administrator...etc. After having kids, it brought me a different way in seeing the world. I started to volunteer in schools and enjoy time with kids.

In a fun coincidence, I started to teach Chinese.
After trying it, I realized I did enjoy it. The best thing of teaching Chinese for me is to motivate kids, design, develop and implement games, activities and instructional materials. I feel very encouraged that kids are always happy to learn with my design.

I have been working on my blog, "Maker Kids - Learning by Doing" for many years. So naturally, I also incorporate "Learning by Doing" concepts and variety creative, and sometimes crazy ideas 😜into teaching Chinese. I hope your kids will enjoy it!

I got my IST (Instructional Systems Technology) Master's Degree in 2000. So, I have been thinking and working on how to implement "Instructional Technology" into learning Chinese and how it will benefit the kids.

Finally, I enjoy camping, hiking, reading and travel. I have been to Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Canada, Mexico,Vietnam and has lived in Taipei (Taiwan), Indiana, California, Texas, and currently lives in Washington.

My two helpful kids always enjoy assisting the teaching. My son (3nd grade) loves geography, foreign languages and planets while my daughter (8th grade) loves to cook, take care of pets and hang out with young kids. Both of them are very fluent in Chinese.
